Visual Studio Code#

  1. Download Visual Studio Code (VS Code):

  2. Install VS Code:

    Run the downloaded installer.

  3. Launch VS Code:

    After installation, open VS Code either from the Start menu or the desktop shortcut.

  4. Install Python extensions:

    1. Open the Extensions view by clicking on the Extensions icon in the Activity Bar on the side of the window.

    2. Install the following extensions:

      • Search for “Python” and install the official Python extension by Microsoft:

      • Search for “Python Debugger” and install the official extension by Microsoft:

        Python Debugger Extension for VS Code

      • Search for “Pylance” and install the official extension by Microsoft:

        Pylance Extension for VS Code

      • Search for “Python Poetry” and install the official extension:

        Python Poetry Extension for VS Code

      • Search for “TOML Language Support” and install the official extension:

        TOML Language Support Extension for VS Code
